As all parents know, parenting is a 24 hour job. Your children and grandchildren are pretty much the most important people in your life. This week’s FixMeTip will teach you how to extend your care to the web too!
First, for those of you who are hooked on Apple products, these instructions will enable you to restrict what your kids can do when they grab your laptop, iPad, or iPhone:
- Click on the Apple menu and select “System Preferences”.
- Click on “Parental Controls” under the “Systems” subheading.
- Select the user you whose settings you would like to edit. You should see various tabs for types of controls. Under “Web”, you can limit the websites this user has access to.
Make sure to click on the lock icon to prevent others from changing these settings back!
As always, stay safe out there!
