FixMeTip: How Do You Report Cybercrime?

Hi folks!

This week’s FixMeTip is dedicated to providing you with the resources you need to report cybercrime. Reporting abuses is an important part of fighting cybercrime– we all have to do our part!

  1. For our customers located in the United States, you’ll want to file your complaint with the Internet Crime Complaint Center. It is a division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
  2. For those of you living in the Great White North a.k.a. Canada, find the relevant division with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police by clicking here.
  3. Lastly, for those of you across the pond, you’ll want to let Action Fraud know if you’ve experienced cybercrime.

Remember, cybercrime is a crime and should be dealt with using the appropriate legal channels. You wouldn’t let someone break into your house and let it go unreported would you? Don’t let hackers off the hook!
