    Every time I use the program it will not start and this time it finally did start on the 4th time,, How come?? It seems to do this every time I use it and also I note that this must be a regular problem asthe note comes up that it might take 3 or more times to start the program.

      In some cases, a computer’s boot configuration isn’t set to launch USBs properly. As you mentioned before, it can take a few reboots to get the FixMeStick up and running.

    A few years ago, I bought a “BO-GO”, thru HSN, which means, I got two fix sticks, which neither one worked. Could not return, and nobody at your site, would acknowledge my asking for assistance. This is great, now, please lose my e-mail address, for I waited a long time, to let you know, I wasted my hard earned dollars on your defective products.

    i am a fix me stick customer,i bought a new windows 10 computer and it does not work ,called customer service and i was told they needed to do updates well 6 months later i am still waiting

    Congratulations on your tenth birthday celebrations. I would like to know if there’s a Fixme Stick or a Startme Stick for the iPhones, if not, why not?

      Thank you for reaching out to us!

      Unfortunately we do not have a product for smartphones. The FixMeStick is only available in USB format, and the software on the device is only compatible with Windows and MacOS. Smartphones don’t have the necessary USB port for the devices, and don’t meet the technical requirements to launch the USBs. In many respects, iPhones are relatively virus-free, and don’t typically run into issues of malware.

      However, if you’d like active protection on your phone, you can always check out McAfee Total Protection, which offers an app for malware protection!

    Hi , I have purchased your fix me stick in past and it works great…however , recently i’ve been hacked by a ransome ware….that freezes my screen. I have shut down the computer and applied fix me stick…and then start up with hitting F12 multiple times as suggested…which works some of the time.
    I still have windows 7…love it..but do I have to buy a new windows 10? or can I buy the fix me stick pro…..do y ou think that is worth trying..

      I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been running into issues with ransomware! Dealing with ransomware is a tricky business – often times, even if the malware is removed, the victim’s computer still remains locked.

      While you can still use Windows 7, Microsoft no longer offers active support, so it’s more vulnerable to security threats and malware. Upgrading to Windows 10 may help solve the security issue, however it may cause the computer to slow down.

      Also – the FixMeStick Pro is typically only a viable option if you plan on using the stick on a multitude of computers. The normal FixMeStick subscription is less expensive and contains the exact software on the Pro version.

    I got fix me stick some time ago. I am not good at computers and so scared of losing things If I do something wrong. I have not set the stick up because I am not sure what I am doing or just what it does.
    If someone could help me I probably would set it up. I know I need all the help I can get but am fearful of losing everything if I do it wrong. I had one computer crash and do not want that to happen again.
    Please help this old lady get on with the times.

        Shortly after I purchased the fix-me-stick I was hospitalized and somehow, the stick was lost. Now my computer will not remain on,or reboot. I now use a tablet, can a stick help it?

          Unfortunately, the current version of the FixMeStick was not designed to support tablet or smart phone use. Presently, the FixMeStick is optimized for use on both PC and Mac computers, depending on which version of the FixMeStick the customer has (PC vs Mac version).

          As tablets and smart phones become more advanced and receive widespread adoption, we know that there will be an increasing demand for a compatible version of the FixMeStick. Creating this version is definitely something we have on our to-do list, but for the immediate future we want to focus on our core products.

      I’m glad to hear you know so much about FixMeStick Trivia! While you can’t use the FixMeStick on your phone, McAfee Total Protection has an app feature which lets you run virus-protection on your phone!

    I am glad to have the device to keep my windows 7 running. I have sent several emails asking if the “startmestick” needs to stay in the computer or do I take it out and reinsert it each time I turn on the computer. I have not gotten an answer to this question after inquiring. Please let me know.

      Typically, you’d require the StartMeStick to be plugged in each time you use it. When it’s not being used, you can unplug it from the computer!
